It wasn’t so bad being in a police car

20/02/2012 | I was almost jumped

So last Saturday night I was suppose to meet boob-Adrian (@ianaj) downtown to go to a hotel party with @cleverking, @mark-gogo and others, but apparently I was a little too early at our usual meeting place so he told me to go on without him so I did. I’m walking south of Yonge St. and I turn right on Richmond Street West. Then all of a sudden two black guys approached me, one looked Somalian and I don’t know about the other one. They called out to me like “Hey” or “Yo” but I ignored them and kept on walking because I knew what these punk-ass bitches wanted from me, my cell phone or money. Then one of the guys said to the other “Yo, he ain’t listening to me”.

So then when they walked up both beside me they asked if I wanted to by some kush or weed, and I said, “No I don’t want any”. And the kept on asking and asking, and I kept on rejecting their offer until one of them asked where I was headed to. I told them I was headed for the hotel and they said, “Which hotel? Let us take you there”. I said it was fine they didn’t had to, and that’s when my heart started to beat fast and adrenaline filled my whole body because I felt like I was going to get jump by these two lowlifes. I tried opening a door to a bar but it was closed and that’s when they got the sense that I was trying to escape. So then one of them grabbed me on the arm and said, “Gimme your phone”. And I said, “Get your hands off of me, I don’t want to do this right now”. Then I started speed walking in the opposite direction I was walking in and I heard the guy from afar saying, “Yo get him, jump him, jump him”. So right when I got to the intersection were people were that’s when I started to feel a little safer. It felt like they were still following me so I dialed 911 and told the operator what had happened, the description of the two black guys, and they told me that two officers were going to come.

That’s when I texted Marcus what happened and they came, but the when the police came they told me I could hop in the car and drive around to scout for the two guys. I agreed with them and I told Marcus just to wait for me at the hotel. After 15 minutes of driving around that area we weren’t able to find them, well I was hoping not to see them again because I don’t want to have to deal with filing a report and go through all the processes of court and shit, I JUST WANTED SOME HARD LIQUOR AT THIS DAMN HOTEL PARTY! So when they dropped me off at the hotel I thanked them for their service and I just went off on the whiskey and tequila.
